Sony Pictures has a new rom-com cooking, a film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling romance novel, It Ends With Us, published in 2016. Jane the Virgin’s Justin Baldoni is attached to star in the film alongside Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively. Baldoni will direct and executive produce the rom-com under Wayfarer Studios, a film production company that he co-founded with Steve Sarowitz. Lively will also executive produce alongside Hoover, Sarowitz, and Andrew Calof. The producers are Jamey Heath under Wayfarer Studios and Alex Saks of Saks Picture Company. Christy Hall is attached to pen the movie’s script aside from producing.

Netflix finally ordered a second season of the hit British true crime doc series My Lover My Killer nearly two years after the first season's debut.The premiere season kicked off quite nicely, attaining a 5.8/10 score on IMDb and 69% on Google Rankings.  My Lover My Killer is produced by FirstLook TV, a leading true crime documentary producer, and distributed by Abacus Media Rights. Thanks to Netflix, the series has been able to reach a wider audience beyond the Brit confines.

Prime Video recently unveiled the official teaser of its forthcoming workplace thriller and dark comedy series, The Consultant, via its leading YouTube Channel. The series began filming in December 2021 as an adaptation of Bentley Little’s book of the same title. The Consultant joins other comedy projects on Amazon Prime Video, such as Mammals, Good Omens, Harlem, A League of Their Own, The Lake, Modern Love, and The Boys.

Peacock joins its streaming competitors Netflix and HBO Max in the axing trend as it recently canceled the hit murder mystery series, One of Us is Lying after only two seasons, leaving fans flabbergasted. The teen drama show, which airs via Peacock in the U.S. and via Netflix in the U.K., saw its 16th and apparently last episode launch on October 20, last year, ending on a massive cliffhanger and viewers yearning to find answers in a third season. Unfortunately, dreams have been crushed, and hearts are broken.

Netflix subscribers are forced to sit tight as Netflix does its axe show, randomly removing their favorite series after only one or a couple of seasons without justifiable cause. Among the Netflix TV productions to meet their untimely end in the past year include First Kill, Blockbuster, Warrior Nun, The Midnight Club, The Imperfects, Partner Track, Space Force, 1899 and Uncoupled.
