Worker Who Returned Bag of Gold Gets One Month Bonus
Fatih Cesur, a janitor working in Duzce, found a bag containing approximately 3.5 million TL worth of gold and money. Cesur, who handed the bag over to the police, was praised for his exemplary behavior. Duzce Mayor Faruk Özlü did not leave Cesur's honest act unrewarded. The municipal worker who was rewarded with a bonus salary, was found to have 400 grams of gold bullion in the bag he found.

Gold Bullion Came Out of a 3.5 Million Worth Bag
Fatih Cesur, an employee at the Cleaning Services Department of Duzce Municipality, found a bag on the side of the road while on duty. When he opened the bag, he realized it contained a large amount of gold and money. Without any hesitation, Cesur reported the situation to the police and handed over the bag to the security forces intact.
After the investigations, the owner of the bag was identified in a short time. The bag contained approximately 400 grams of gold bullion, 14 quarter gold coins, 7 gold bracelets, 2 Ottoman-stamped gold coins, and some cash. The total value of the items, which is approximately 3.5 million TL, was returned to the owner in full, creating great satisfaction.
Honest Behavior Did Not Go Unrewarded
Following the exemplary behavior, Düzce Mayor Faruk Özlü visited Fatih Cesur while he was on duty. Congratulating Cesur, Özlü announced that he was given a bonus equal to one month's salary due to his honesty and behavior that best represented the municipality.
Speaking during the visit, Mayor Özlü thanked Fatih Cesur, stating that such exemplary behaviors exhibited by public officials carried great value for society. The incident also became a topic on social media.
