Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness made a worldwide theatrical debut on Friday, May 6 and has already grossed $450 million, making it the third highest-grossing movie of the year, right after The Battle at Lake Changjin II, holding 2nd position and The Batman as the top-grossing.

The film marks Sam Raimi's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, twenty years since the release of his first Spider-Man starring Tobey Maguire in 2002.

If you’ve already booked a ticket to the movie but still wondering when it’ll be available for home streaming, we’ve got you covered.

When Will 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' Premiere on Disney+

Following previous proceedings of recent MCU films, we expect Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to premiere on Disney+ within 45 days of its cinematic release. The release schedule was introduced last year by Bob Chapek, Disney's CEO as an 'interesting experiment', succeeding the then scheduled release of the Legend of the Ten Rings and Shang-Chi.

So counting 45 days since May 6, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness could be available for streaming from June 11.

'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' Plot

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and one of the films of MCU’s phase four.

Picking up after the happenings of Spider-Man: No Way Home and WandaVision, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) encounters a teenage girl America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), who can cross dimensions. They team up with Wong (Benedict Wong) to find Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) to assist them to navigate the multiverse.

However, Doctor Strange is unaware that Wanda has differing intentions. Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor reprise their roles from Doctor Strange (2016) as Christine Palmer and Karl Mordo. Patrick Stewart also makes a surprising entrance as Charles Xavier of the 2000s X-Men franchise.
