Watch Dogs Movie Begins Filming After 11 Years of Silence
After more than a decade of anticipation, the Watch Dogs film adaptation is finally moving forward. Ubisoft's official announcement has thrilled fans everywhere.
The first game of Ubisoft's popular Watch Dogs series was released in 2014 with the bold claim of being a competitor to GTA.
Introducing us to the relentless hacker Aiden Pearce, the game received generally positive reviews, but it was clear it needed more refinement to truly rival GTA. Over the years, the series expanded with two more main games.
The first rumors of a Watch Dogs film adaptation surfaced in 2013.
Initially announced in 2013, the Watch Dogs movie excited fans at the time, but subsequently, there were no updates, leading many to believe the project had been shelved.
However, it seems the Watch Dogs movie is still alive!
Ubisoft recently announced that filming for the Watch Dogs movie has finally begun. Directed by Mathieu Turi, the Watch Dogs movie will tell the story of a character we haven't seen in the game series. The lead role will be played by Sophie Wilde. The film is currently in production, and its release date has not yet been announced.
