Turkish Series October Ratings: Who Rose, Who Fell?
October's Total ratings averages for Turkish series are out, and only one of the 22 series on air managed to pass the 10 mark. Tasacak Bu Deniz took first place with 10.18, while Uzak Sehir came second with 8.06. Kizilcik Serbeti, with 5.34, missed the top 7. At the bottom of the list was Sevdam Karadeniz, which has already said goodbye to the screen.
Tasacak Bu Deniz closed the month at the top with a 10.18 average, more than 2 points ahead of its closest rival.
TRT 1's Friday night drama Tasacak Bu Deniz finished October with 10.18 and was the only series on the list with a double-digit average.
In second place was Kanal D's Monday series Uzak Sehir with 8.06. The 2.12-point gap between the two shows that the race for the top never really heated up this month. Tasacak Bu Deniz's average is also almost double the overall average of the 22 series, 5.16.
Only 0.04 points separated Yeralti and Sevdan Bir Ates in a tight race in the 7s.
The battle for third place was close. Yeralti took third with 7.45, just ahead of Show TV's new series Sevdan Bir Ates with 7.41. Sevdan Bir Ates also drew attention by losing three points over three weeks during the month.
Alti Ustu Istanbul came fifth with 7.01, followed by Daha 17 with 6.74 and NOW's much-anticipated series Omur Usta, which rounded out the top 7 with 6.25.
Kizilcik Serbeti came eighth with a 5.34 average, nearly half of its Friday night rival Tasacak Bu Deniz.
One of the most striking details on the list was Kizilcik Serbeti. Although one of its episodes passed a 7 rating during the month, the popular series came eighth in the monthly average with 5.34 and missed the top 7.
The Show TV series finished about 4.8 points behind Tasacak Bu Deniz, its direct rival on Friday nights. The last-minute pulling of its new episode on October 30 was also among the notable developments of the month.
14 of the 22 series ended the month below a 5 rating, and Sevdam Karadeniz was the only one under 2.
The middle of the table
Guller ve Gunahlar came ninth with 4.98, while Gunesin Dogdugu Yer and Teskilat shared the same 4.89 average. Next were Tuzlu Kahve (4.79), Sevdigim Sensin (4.69), Anne Yarisi (4.55) and Haysiyet (4.43). Halef: Koklerin Cagrisi (4.20), Gonul Dagi (4.02), Baskalarinin Hayati (3.67) and Mehmed: Fetihler Sultani (3.54) were in the lower half. On TRT 1, Tasacak Bu Deniz was the only series to average above 5.
The bottom three
Evlilik Guzeldir (2.39) and Muhtemel Ask (2.29) were near the bottom; both had made headlines with finale claims after falling ratings during the month. Last was Sevdam Karadeniz with 1.73, the only series below 2, which left the screen after an early finale decision. Tasacak Bu Deniz's average is about six times that of Sevdam Karadeniz.
