Following the launch of TOGG, efforts are now being channeled into the production of a second domestic car. HABAŞ has reached an agreement with Frank Stephenson, a designer who has left an indelible mark on the automotive world with his iconic designs for brands such as Ferrari, BMW, and McLaren. The project, details of which Stephenson has also shared on his official channels, covers a wide range of areas, from establishing a brand identity to 3D modeling, clay mold reviews to engineering and production processes.

However, the connection between Stephenson, a veteran of the industry, and Turkey is not limited to mere business partnership. Having lived in Istanbul between the ages of 11 and 16 due to his father's job and learned Turkish during this period, the world-renowned designer has returned to the land where he spent part of his education to contribute to a global-scale car project.

The date has been set, and the models have emerged.

HABAŞ has allocated a colossal budget of approximately 1 billion euros for its total investments in the passenger and commercial vehicle sector. The company, which incorporated the Gebze factory that Honda ceased production in 2021, has also strengthened its infrastructure by moving equipment from closed facilities in the UK to Turkey. The aim is to increase the annual production capacity for passenger vehicles at the Gebze facility to 75,000 units.

The project, initially focusing on two main models, sedan and crossover, will be offered to drivers with three different engine options: petrol, hybrid, and rechargeable (plugin) hybrid. In the long run, the product range is planned to be expanded with the addition of SUVs and light commercial vehicles.

HABAŞ plans to unveil its domestic cars by the end of 2026.
