Turkey's Largest Industrial Giant Announced for This Year
The eagerly anticipated annual 'Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises 2025' study, conducted by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ICO), has unveiled its results. As the performance of the giant companies was laid bare, the top three spots on the list were solidified. Meanwhile, titans of the defense and aviation industries made a powerful surge towards the upper ranks.
TÜPRAŞ has once again claimed the top spot. They are among the three titans of Turkey!
According to research findings, Turkish Petroleum Refineries Corporation (TÜPRAŞ) retained its title as the largest industrial enterprise in Turkey this year as well, with a staggering revenue of 698 billion 789 million liras from production sales. The company, which has held the top spot for many years, was followed by Ford Automotive, a pioneer in the automotive sector. Ford Automotive solidified its position in the second rank of the list with a production sales figure of 538 billion 268 million liras. Star Refinery Inc. took the third place with a sales success of 327 billion 854 million liras. Consequently, there was no change in the top three ranks of the ISO 500 list compared to last year.
There's fierce competition in the automotive industry. A surprising rise has been observed in the rankings.
Despite the consistency at the top of the list, the other ranks within the top 10 witnessed quite a dynamic competition. OYAKRenault, which was ranked 6th in the report of the previous year, shifted gears to secure the 4th place with a turnover of 235.5 billion lira. Following OYAKRenault were Toyota Automotive with sales of 206.3 billion lira and the white goods giant Arçelik with 165.7 billion lira.
The most notable ascents in the list came from the defense, aviation, and energy sectors. TUSAŞ, one of our national prides that couldn't make the top 10 list last year, leapt from the 11th to the 7th spot with a production sale of 140.9 billion lira. Similarly, Turkey Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) climbed from the 16th to the 8th rank, while the technology and defense titan ASELSAN achieved a historic success by rising from the 17th to the 9th spot.
