HBO Max has done it again with its most recent accomplishment, The Way Down: God, Greed, and Cult of Gwen Shamblin Part Two, seven months since the first part launched.

The initial part focused on Gwen Shamblin’s escalation to prominence with her Christian-found program and the establishment of Remnant Fellowship Church.
The section also dug into the accusations of physical, psychological and emotional tortures that the church faced, with confirmations from the survivors.
Synopsis & Trailer
Part 2 of The Way Down: God, Greed, and Cult of Gwen Shamblin centres on investigating the dumbfounding Shamblin and her husband’s death in a private plane crash.
From the trailer released by HBO Max via their main YouTube channel, there are glances of evidence from the survivors coming forward after Shamblin’s death. We will also see how the church has been performing under the management of Shamblin’s daughter, Elizabeth.
“Gwen destroyed my family; all I can do is collect the broken pieces.” Says a lady in the trailer.
The Production Team
Marina Zenovich, a Primetime Emmy champion, is the director of the five-episode film from Chrissy Teigen’s Huntley Production and Campfire Studios.
The documentary series is chiefly produced by Zenovich, Teigen, Cappello, Luke Dillon, and Ross Dinerstein alongside Rebecca Evans, Ross Girard and P.G. Morgan as the co-chief producers.
