After being aired on BBC last year, the archival British drama film, A Very British Scandal, celebrates an international premiere on April 22nd, 2022, via the Prime Video platform.
The film stars Emmy-champion Claire Foy depicting the Duchess and Duke of Argyll, and Emmy-appointee, Paul Bettany.
A Very British Scandal describes the true-life chronicle of the Duke and Duchess as they experience a divorce that became Britain’s most publicized and scurrilous legal case in the 1960s.
Following the trailer, the couple publicly celebrates the luxurious life of being a Duke and Duchess publicly; however, tensions are privately growing between them. There are also glimpses of the Duke tippling excessively and ridiculing the Duchess.
There’s a brewing threat of the partner’s wealth running out. They start to blame each other for disloyalty, with Duke ridiculing the Duchess to have the evidence against her while she has none. Social pressure turns on the Duchess as the journalists hound her, marking a suspenseful trailer end. Check it out!
