The young woman added the following note to her post for her Russian followers;
'March 8th unfolds quite differently in Turkey than what we're accustomed to... Here, this day is typically associated not with celebrations and flowers, but with street protests.
Women from various cities participate in marches to discuss their rights, violence, and security. For many, this is a day where raising their voice and supporting each other holds significant importance 💔
Therefore, in the evening hours, you might witness large crowds in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, refusing to stay silent, with banners in their hands and slogans on their lips...
Meanwhile, the roads in the city center are closed to traffic from 2:00 PM until 11:00 PM.'
