The wait for The Batman 2, directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson, seems to be getting even longer.
Filming was originally scheduled to begin in the spring of 2024, but that date has been postponed once again.
Speaking to the press at the premiere of Mickey 17, Robert Pattinson revealed that filming for the highly anticipated sequel will now begin at the end of this year.
Due to delays in Reeves’ scriptwriting process, the project has been pushed back significantly from its original timeline.
As a result of these setbacks, there will be a full five-year gap between the first and second films.
While the release date remains officially set for October 1, 2027, the delays in production leave room for the possibility of further changes.
