TMZ reported that Post Malone was forced on to his knees because of the pain he was in following the mishap, and caused concern amongst fans at the show and his backroom team.

Despite the pain, the tattooed artist attempted to carry on with his performance but the injury proved too much.

He limped off stage with the help of some of the backstage crew at the show.

Later, he was able to get back on stage and finish out the gig, after he explained to those present what had happened to him.

“I just twisted up my ankle a little bit over on that hole there,” the rapper said.

“So if my dance moves aren’t 100 percent, you gotta forgive me tonight ladies and gentlemen. I’ma do my best.,” he added in jest.

The incident was caught on video by some of those in attendance and posted to social media.

According to fans at the show, the performer went on to perform a host of acoustic songs following his reappearance on stage.

This is far from the first time that Post Malone has injured himself during a concert, having fell on stage at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis last month.

The incident happened as Postie fell through a trap door on stage that had mistakenly left ajar after it had earlier been used to remove his guitar from the stage.

The hip hop artists received medical attention straight away after his fall, promising fans he would return as he departed.

The Los Angeles native did come back soon after although, ultimately, he had to cut his show short due to the mishap.

It emerged that the singer/songwriter had endured an injury to his ribs and his next show, held in Boston, had to be cancelled and rescheduled.

'I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon. I’m so sorry,” he wrote to fans back then.

Lets hope the performer does not inflict any more injuries on himself before his tour comes to an end in LA on the 15th of November.
