Panic in Flight: Man Attacks Two Passengers With a Fork, Causes Emergency Landing

A 28-year-old Indian student, whose residency permit in the US had expired, suddenly sprang from his seat and launched an attack on the passengers with a fork in his hand.

The assailant, named Praneeth Kumar Usiripalli from India, launched a fork attack on two unidentified 17-year-old passengers. Through considerable effort, the aircraft crew managed to subdue the aggressive passenger.
The crew, having made contact with the Lufthansa headquarters via satellite phone, was instructed to make an emergency landing at the nearest airfield, which was Boston. Following the plane's landing, the student assailant was apprehended by the police.
Following the incident, comprehensive psychological support was provided to the passengers.

Passengers, deeply psychologically affected by the incident and unwilling to continue their flight, were promptly accommodated in hotels by Lufthansa, and extensive psychological support was provided to them. It was reported that the aggressive passenger would face trial and could potentially be sentenced to 10 years in prison, along with a fine of 250,000 dollars.
