According to Variety, the renowned actor revealed in an interview that he regrets his role in the 2004 blockbuster Troy, despite its immense popularity.
In a statement given to Variety, as reported by Independent, Bloom expressed,
'I've completely erased Troy from my mind. Everyone loves that film, but I'm not happy with my role in it. The film was great, working with Brad and Eric was amazing, but the character of Paris didn't align with my personality. There's a scene where Paris, who's been beaten up by someone else, crawls and clings to his brother's leg. I couldn't do that. But my manager convinced me that it was the film's most gripping moment. I believed him.'
Directed by Wolfgang Petersen and featuring a star-studded cast including Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Peter O'Toole, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Brian Cox, and Sean Bean, Troy remains a favorite film for many despite Bloom's personal reservations about his role.
