New Civil Servant Salary Table Revealed Based on 5-Month Inflation Data
The countdown continues for the critical July increase eagerly awaited by millions of public employees and retirees. The 5-month data that will shape the salary tables has officially been clarified. For civil servants and retirees who received an 18.6 percent increase in the first half of the year, in addition to a flat increase of 1000 TL, a large portion of the increase to be made in July has been confirmed. The salaries of teachers, police officers, doctors, nurses, and lawyers have been determined with the 5-month data.
Public Servant Raise 2026: How much will the public servant raise be?
The cumulative increase in the consumer price index for the first five months of the year, covering the period from January to May, has been recorded at 16.6 percent. In light of this data, the inflation difference to be reflected in public servants' salaries has already been calculated at 5.05 percent. When the rights arising from the collective agreement and the current inflation difference are combined, the total increase rate for July for civil servants and retired civil servants has reached 12.41 percent prior to June.
All eyes are now turned to the June inflation data, which will determine the final rates. With the announcement of the June data, the exact increase rate that civil servants and retirees will receive will be officially established. However, according to the current official data for the past five months, the change in base salaries has already largely taken shape.
What will be the minimum salary for a civil servant?
Based on the calculations, the minimum civil servant salary, which rose to 61,890 lira in January with an increase, is projected to reach 69,570 lira according to the data finalized over five months. Similarly, the minimum civil servant pension, currently standing at 27,772 lira, is set to climb up to 31,218 lira with the arrival of the July period.
