Many who joined the show successfully lost their weight but not everyone has been fortunate, as seen by the mounting number of My 600-lb Life fatalities.

Henry's weight decreased from 750 pounds to 275 pounds after undergoing gastric bypass surgery, a strict diet plan, and an exercise routine. After having a lymphedema mass surgically removed, he shed 124 pounds. After having surgery to remove excess body fat, Robert Buchel dropped 340 pounds, but a few months later he became addicted to painkillers. He resisted getting out of bed and exercising when Dr. Now tried to wean him off the painkillers. At the age of 41, Robert passed away from a heart attack on November 15, 2017.

3. James Bonner

He thanked everyone for their support on Facebook before taking his own life. He was found dead in a park ditch in Lexington, South Carolina, with what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

As a result of his food and booze addiction, he put on 642 pounds. James joined My 600 lb Life after undergoing gastric bypass surgery, which helped him lose over half of his body weight.

When the sixth season of the show concluded, he weighed 316 pounds. Bonner weighed roughly 200 pounds before he passed away.

Sean's weight when he first went on the show was 900 pounds; he has since shed 400 pounds. Sadly, his mother gave him junk food and pushed him to disregard Dr. Now's counsel. His weight increase was influenced by the inundation from Hurricane Harvey and the passing of his mother.

Two weeks after his return to the hospital, he developed an infection that caused a cardiac arrest (a heart attack).

7. James King

Because the socialite didn't picture herself still living the following year, she felt the performance would help her bury herself.
