The minimum wage in Germany has been determined. The current minimum wage was being implemented as 12.82 euros (approximately 627 TL) in 2025.
Starting from January 1, 2026, the gross hourly wage has been set at 13.90 euros (679 TL). Furthermore, from January 1, 2027, it will be implemented as 14.60 euros (approximately 714 TL). The wage increase was proposed by the Minimum Wage Commission. This increase will directly affect 6 million people.
What is the duration of the weekly working hours in Germany?

In Germany, according to the law, the maximum weekly working hours is 48 hours. However, this can be extended up to 60 hours. Some workplaces offer flexible working hours. In places with flexible working hours, the weekly working time can increase up to 10 hours.
The general rule in the country is that working on Sundays and public holidays is prohibited. Employees have a minimum of a 30-minute break for shifts between 6-9 hours, and a 45-minute break for shifts that exceed 9 hours.
