The couple's separation process had been a topic of gossip for quite some time. Disputes and statements between the pair had frequently made their way into the public eye. With the latest announcement, the marriage that had been discussed for years has officially come to an end.
Argentinian footballer Mauro Icardi announced the end of his marriage to Wanda Nara, which began in 2014.

Icardi shed light on the ongoing situation by making a post on his social media account in the late hours of the night. He announced that the divorce process had officially come to a conclusion in his post. The footballer also touched upon the lengthy legal process that had been underway for quite some time. He mentioned that the lawsuit was initiated approximately a year ago and his sole desire was to get a divorce. He pointed out that the process was carried out in Italy.
The couple was constantly in the spotlight due to the ups and downs in their relationship.

Mauro Icardi and Wanda Nara tied the knot back in 2014. The couple has been blessed with two daughters from this marriage, named Francesca and Isabella. During the divorce proceedings, the custody of the children became a point of contention. As of now, the custody battle is still unresolved and continues to be a matter of ongoing concern.
Here's the statement made by the famous footballer on Instagram 👇

'Exactly a year ago, I attended a divorce hearing in Milan, set by Italian justice.
In November 2024, I was the one who officially filed for divorce and initiated the process.
I was there in March 2025 as well; the judge declared himself competent and issued the separation decree required by Italian law.
According to the law, this separation period was to last a year.
This one year ended yesterday, on March 11, 2026.
From today, my lawyers have initiated the procedures for the final divorce decree, which will be announced in the coming days.
The truth is quite simple.
So simple that I almost need to write this in Italian; because the judges speak that language and the decisions are written in it.
But if I had done that, some 'journalists' who have been fabricating stories and slandering for a year would probably have even more trouble understanding it.
That's why I'm saying this clearly in every language:
I WANTED THE DIVORCE.
I FOLLOWED THE LEGAL PROCESS.
AND THE DIVORCE IS HAPPENING TODAY.
Now I have a curiosity…
What will those who have been writing 'does not want to divorce' for a year do now?
Which new story will they make up for half a point rating?
I am also curious about what statement the lawyer who said I did not want to divorce for a year will make now.
After all, the truth always comes out after a year of media stories.
And it came out.
A kiss of victory.
Because the only thing I wanted from justice a year ago was to divorce.
And here is the result.
Note: The clock stopped, time is up.
To those who make up fake news: don't underestimate me, I'm not stupid.'
