Businessman Ata Demirağ recently became one of the most talked-about figures in the world of entertainment and high society, following his lavish wedding held by the world-renowned Lake Como in Italy.
Rana Akdağ, a ship broker, had been in the limelight for quite some time due to her three-day wedding extravaganza, replete with luxurious details and costing around 165 million TL. However, this time around, it's not her wedding that's making headlines, but a lawsuit that has surfaced against her.
According to a report by Birsen Altuntaş, it has emerged that Ata Demirağ has been residing as a tenant for approximately 6 years in a property located in Maslak, owned by former national goalkeeper Rüştü Reçber and his wife Işıl Reçber. Moreover, a rental dispute between the parties has reportedly led to legal proceedings.
According to the information in the news, the case is being heard at the 38th Civil Court of First Instance in Istanbul.
In the case file, it was alleged that Demirağ had left the mentioned residence for the use of another person contrary to the lease agreement. Upon this claim by the Reçber couple, the court decided to conduct an investigation to determine whether there was another person living in the apartment besides the tenant.
According to the information provided by Birsen Altuntaş, the documents submitted to the court by the site management stated that a site entry card was issued for the relevant apartment on behalf of Spanish citizen Ines Montes Cubria from September 18, 2024. The Reçber couple claimed that this situation violated the subletting prohibition in the lease agreement and demanded the eviction of the property.
On the other hand, Ata Demirağ did not accept the allegations in his defense submitted to the court. Demirağ, stating that he did not sublet the residence to any person, stated that Ines Montes Cubria, whose name is mentioned in the file, was just his friend. After the mutual allegations of the parties, all eyes turned to the case heard at the 38th Civil Court of First Instance in Istanbul, and the decision of the court is eagerly awaited.
