An obscenity investigation has been launched for Mabel Matiz's new song "Ha Leylim".

Just three months later, Mabel Matiz found himself once again at the center of a similar investigation, this time due to his new song.

Mabel Matiz released his new song 'Ha Leylim,' for which he wrote both the lyrics and music, along with its music video to his audience on August 11, 2026.

The music video, set in a retro wedding atmosphere, featured well-known figures such as Seda Sayan, Çağlar Ökten, and Hazal Türesan alongside Mabel Matiz.

Following the controversy, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated an ex officio investigation against Mabel Matiz for alleged 'obscenity' under Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code, taking into consideration the lyrics of 'Ha Leylim' and the visual content of its music video.

After the news of the investigation, there was another development related to the music video. The Freedom of Expression Association announced that access to the official music video of 'Ha Leylim' had been blocked in Turkey.
