Gold Market Expert Islam Memis Slams Rumors Regarding a Potential Ban on Gram Gold
The executive of a world-renowned jewelry brand has advocated for the prohibition of gram gold and quarter gold. Financial Analyst Islam Memiş, however, fired back at these comments with fervor. Memiş retorted, '025, 050 gram have already been banned. Now, all that's left are gram gold and quarter gold. What more do you want from a person who works till dusk just to save up?'
There has been a strong backlash to Islam Memiş's proposal to "ban grams and quarter gold".
Islam Memis was vehemently critical of the recent controversial proposal to 'abolish gram and quarter gold,' which has been shaking the agenda. Memis, who harshly criticized the statements made by the executive of a world-renowned jewelry brand, suggesting that 'Gram and quarter gold are unnecessary and causing a black market,' argued that this move would strike a blow to the savings of low-income citizens.
Drawing attention to the timing and content of the statement, Islam Memis hinted that there might be commercial concerns behind this proposal. Memis expressed his disapproval towards the industry representative by stating, 'Presumably, they're saying this to sell more processed gold. It's highly likely that it's for their own business benefit.'
"These people used to buy gold in amounts of 0.25 grams and 0.50 grams. However, you've already prohibited these. Now, only quarter gold and gram gold remain."
The renowned analyst, who opposes targeting the society's saving habits, drew attention to the situation of particularly low-budget investors. Reminding of the previous bans imposed on 0.25 and 0.50 gram gold coins and labor-free gold known as 'drawn gold', Memiş stated:
'This society buys quarter and gram gold. With the 35 cents in their hands, they set aside money, they save. This society is already oppressed, condemned, left poor. What is this society doing to you, for example?
These people used to buy 0.25 gram, 0.50 gram gold coins. You've already banned these. These people were buying drawn gold, labor-free gold, they were having it cut with scissors according to their budget, and they were setting it aside. You banned that too. Only quarter gold and gram gold are left. Ban those too.'
