Social media sensation Mika Raun made headlines after being arrested following an operation at the beginning of 2026. Claims of his release started to circulate in April 2026, and in response to these allegations, Mika issued a statement via a social media post.
Social media sensation Mika Raun was arrested on January 31, 2026, as part of an illicit substance operation directed towards celebrities, conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Within the scope of the investigation, allegations particularly pointing to the offense of 'facilitating the use of prohibited substances' had come to the fore. Statements about overseas use and test results were reportedly included in the case file.
In her statement to the prosecutor, Mika, who confessed to using banned substances in Amsterdam, had also tested positive.
Mika Raun was placed in Marmara Women's Prison and was taken to a special cell for her safety. During the arrest process, not only the 'prohibited substance' file but also her social media posts were brought to the agenda. It was revealed that actions were also taken against Mika Raun on the charge of 'inciting hatred and hostility or contempt among the public'.
On the other hand, it was learned that in the new indictment prepared in April 2026, a prison sentence of 6 months to 1 year was demanded on the charge of 'contempt based on gender differences' due to her past posts.

I've received a lot of messages, as you might know. Thankfully, I'm at home, with my family. It's been a while since I've been around here. I've been navigating through a challenging phase in my life. I needed to step back for a while. This period has taught me a lot. I've collected myself, taken some time to rest, and reflected. I'm extremely grateful to say that I'm doing very well now. I'm back with you all. I'm setting my intentions for fresh starts,' he said.
