Fast Food Chain to Close Hundreds of Outlets

Wendy's, with 6,011 restaurants in the U.S., will be shutting down 241 of its outlets.

Ken Cook, CEO of Wendy's, disclosed that about 6% of the restaurants will be closing down. According to expert predictions, at least 241 branches will be shuttered. The company's data indicates a 2.6% decrease in global sales, while sales in the U.S. have receded by 4.7%. Cook noted that there has been a downturn in customer traffic, which has significantly impacted sales.
Consumers have started tightening their belts.
