What Happens in Young Rock season 2

The wrestler turned movie icon continues to give viewers insights into his most cherished moments growing up. It showcases the good, the ugly and everything in between on Johnson's, aka The Rock journey to stardom.

For instance, he recalls how he and his mom hardly got to spend time with his dad, Rocky, a WWE tag team champion. But his father’s time was the least of their worries as Rocky began to lose publicity and a fan base to his partner Tony Atlas, forcing him to take menial wrestling gigs in Nashville to support his family.

Nashville introduces new characters such as Bob Owens, a wrestling 'carpenter', and Bruno, a wrestling heel. Johnson's life was a bed of thorny roses when growing up, having his dream of playing for the NFL crushed and being forced to move to Canada to practice with the Calgary Stampeders. Barely making rent and sleeping in a one-star motel, what kept Johnson going was the love and support of his parents, college girlfriend Dany and grandma Lia.

We also get to see Johnson’s childhood nemesis, Sean Astin, who has begun to undermine Johnson’s 2032 presidential aspiration on social media. Interesting stuff!
