The great new shows just keep coming and coming! If you haven't already seen these five seasons of streaming TV from 2022, you are definitely missing out! Here are the top suggestions of what to watch from this year so far.

Barry, the comedy/action/drama show co-created by and starring Bill Hader, is only on its third season, but feels like it contains a lifetime of wild scenarios. For those who don't know, the premise is that Bill Hader plays an assassin who, while on the job in Los Angeles, suddenly decides to join an acting class and has a crisis about his career choice.

The director of a few comedy specials and some episodes of Ramy debuted his first show on Hulu in late June, and The Bear received nothing but rave reviews. Shameless' Jeremy Allen White stars as a fine-dining chef who downgrades to his family's sandwich shop in Chicago.

Jean Smart shines once again in the follow-up to one of 2021's best shows. Smart plays a set-in-her-ways comedian who has semi-contentedly performed a Las Vegas residency since the downshifting of her career, but is revitalized when she hires a young writer who is more like her than either is willing to admit.

This teen romantic comedy made huge waves on Netflix last April because of its representation of the LGBTQ+ community. Heartstopper has already been renewed for Season 2 and 3, so there's plenty more coming soon if you like this first season.

A Kansas woman played by Bridget Everett is just trying to find midlife happiness after the tragic loss of someone close to her. The show was created by two founders of the Brooklyn-based theatre company The Debate Society.
