Child Climbs Into Display Vehicle at Auto Show and Instantly Crashes It Into a Wall

Auto shows draw plenty of attention: they give brands a chance to unveil new models, while visitors can get a close look at the cars and even climb inside. In crowded exhibition halls, though, especially when you’re walking around with children, taking your eyes off them for even a moment can lead to an unexpected turn of events.

During one visit, a child slipped into the new VLE on display at the Mercedes stand while the family was distracted. Without anyone noticing, the child started the car and crashed it. A staff member rushed over but couldn’t stop the accident. The incident left both show staff and onlookers shaken and frustrated.
