Burcu Cavrar said her own series was not hit by the crisis, but the industry is going through a hard time.

Burcu Cavrar, who plays Hicran in Tasacak Bu Deniz, talked about the advertising crisis on Turkish television and its effect on the series' broadcast schedules. She started with her own side: 'Right now, of course, we haven't been affected by it; we're part of an ongoing project.'

As Burcu Cavrar noted, Tasacak Bu Deniz kept to its schedule in the week of the postponements. On top of that, it broke its season record on Friday, October 30, the evening Kizilcik Serbeti did not air a new episode.

In the week of Republic Day, new episodes of six series were postponed back to back.

In the week of Republic Day, new episodes of six series were postponed back to back.

The chain of postponements began on the evening of Thursday, October 29. Star TV aired a rerun of Sevdigim Sensin instead of a new episode. Show TV postponed Muhtemel Ask, and NOW postponed Halef: Koklerin Cagrisi.

On Friday it was Kizilcik Serbeti's turn, and on Saturday Baskalarinin Hayati and Guller ve Gunahlar followed. That brought the number of series without a new episode in a single week to six.

Journalist Birsen Altuntas claimed that the postponements were due to channels not securing enough advertising. Gold Film, the producer of Kizilcik Serbeti, attributed its decision to the October 29 Republic Day holiday.

Burcu Cavrar said actors feel the impact of the crisis more closely than anyone.

Even though her own series was unaffected, Burcu Cavrar stressed that the situation concerns the entire industry: 'It's really annoying. After all, something is happening in the industry, in the country, in the world, and the first thing affected is the economy and, of course, our sector.'

She added that this picture affects not only television but everyone: 'In fact, everyone is affected, but we feel it in much closer contact.'

Not wanting to comment further, she said, 'It's an annoying thing; what could I possibly say about it?' and concluded: 'We are on the affected side, all of us. I wish it weren't like this.'
