Automotive Giant Bosch Pauses Production in Bursa
Bosch Brake Systems Industry and Trade Inc., one of the leading players in the automotive aftermarket industry on both a global and national scale, is temporarily suspending production at its manufacturing facilities located in Bursa. The giant manufacturer, which made an official announcement via the Public Disclosure Platform (PDP), stated that the practice is part of the annual leave program as well as periodic maintenance and renewal works.
Production at the factory in Bursa will be temporarily halted.
Production at Bosch Brake Systems' factory in Bursa will be halted from July 27 to August 9. According to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) announcement, it was stated that the reason for this approximately two-week-long application is not due to a crisis or market contraction.
During this 14-day period when the switches will be turned off at the factory, the majority of employees will retreat for rest as part of their annual leave plans. Simultaneously, a massive technical operation will begin on the now vacant production lines. With the periodic maintenance, repair, and technological renewal works to be carried out throughout the factory, the aim is to optimize the production infrastructure. In a statement from the company, it was emphasized that such periodic shutdowns are of critical importance in order to maintain long-term production efficiency at its maximum level.
Production will resume on August 10th.
The planned production halt is not expected to have any adverse impact on the company's existing supply chain management, logistics processes, or overall operational activities. Having taken all necessary precautions in advance, the company will restart its production lines at the Bursa factory as of Monday, August 10, 2026, and will resume its full-capacity operations from where it left off.
