Tech giant Apple has ushered in a new era in the mobile technology market with its eagerly anticipated 'Surprise and Shine' event held at its headquarters in Cupertino. With Tim Cook's transition to the role of executive chairman on the board of directors on September 1st, John Ternus, who took over the CEO seat, led one of the most critical launches in the company's history. Apple's First Foldable Phone: iPhone Duo
Undoubtedly, the most talked-about surprise of the launch was the brand's first flexible screen model, the iPhone Duo. This device, equipped with a book-style folding mechanism, offers comfortable one-handed use with its external screen ranging from 5.4 to 6 inches when closed, and transforms into a massive 7.8-inch LTPO OLED panel when opened.
The body, reinforced with titanium and special alloys, draws attention with its ultra-thin glass technology and concealed level of creasing. The iOS operating system also promises tablet-level productivity with special multi-window and Stage Manager-like adjustments for the foldable screen.

Another highlight of the launch was the flagship iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models.
The series, powered by the new A20 Pro chip developed with a 2-nanometer architecture, stands out with a 6-core CPU, a 7-core GPU offering a 40% performance boost, and a 32-core Neural Engine for artificial intelligence tasks. The iPhone 18 Pro model, which is a highlight of the series, comes with a 6.3-inch screen, a vapor chamber cooling system that is three times larger, a video playback time of up to 36 hours, and a 48 MP main camera with a variable aperture. The starting price for the model has been announced as $1,199 in the US and 137,999 TL in Turkey.
The largest in the family, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, with its 6.9-inch screen, appeals to professional users with its advanced battery life of up to 45 hours, periscope telephoto camera with variable aperture, Pro Controls offering professional shooting capabilities, and support for Dolby Vision HDR.
The starting price for the Pro Max model has been set at $1,299 in the US and 149,999 TL in Turkey. Both models, offered in deep black, silver, burgundy, and light blue color options, will be available for pre-order starting on September 12, and the devices will hit the shelves as of September 18.
