A Look at Shante Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s Wife: Age, Bio & More
Irrefutably Snoop Dogg has been a pioneer of sorts in the American rapper industry. Well know and love his classics “What’s My Name?” and “Gin and Juice”, and admire his regular TV appearances. But who’s the woman behind the famous Snoop Dogg?
That would be Shante Broadus, Snoop’s high school sweetheart who he married back in 1997. Shante was born on October 30, 1971, and met Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. during their time together at school.
Intriguingly, Shante and Snoop had divorced back in 2004 but later remarried in 2008. The cause for the initial separation was stated to be irreconcilable differences at first, but naturally, time healed all wounds.
Who is Shante Broadus?
Aside from Shante being the wife of megastar rapper Snoop Dogg, she’s an entrepreneur and active philanthropist. Together with Calvin, she has three children; Cordell Broadus, Cori Broadus, Corde Broadus.
Her career is very glorified as well. She’s made numerous appearances on shows like Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream,’ ‘E! True Hollywood Story’ and ‘The Mo’Nique Show’. She’s also appeared in numerous documentaries, one of which includes Reincarnated.
Shante owns Boss Lady Entertainment, a company that has its hands full with numerous gigs. As of 2021, Shante took up the role of Snoop’s manager. She commented on that by saying,
“We were friends first, and then we became parents. He’s a businessman but we hold it down together.”
“I don’t think he could do this without me, to be honest. He couldn’t handle it. There’s too much going on.”
Her relationship with Snoop Dogg has garnered much media attention over its course. Snoop Dogg’s different scandals and rumors had left a negative impact on the family but through it all, they made it work in the end. Snoop has regularly affirmed Shante’s importance to him, saying “she’s always right.”
