This colossal football, boasting a diameter of 14.6 meters, was created in celebration of the World Cup fervor and managed to secure a spot in the Guinness World Records.

According to the Guinness World Records, the diameter of the gigantic football was measured to be 14.618 meters, thereby earning it the title of the world's largest football.
The ball was officially registered in Boston on June 12, 2026. While the previous record was held by a football approximately 11.9 meters in diameter, the new ball significantly surpassed this measurement.
Getting ready for the thrill of the World Cup
A gigantic soccer ball was prepared to heighten the excitement in the city in line with the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The project, brought to life through a collaboration between the Massachusetts Port Authority, Suffolk Construction, and HNTB Corporation, also became part of a public event space.
The ball was displayed in the Piers Park II area on the Boston coastline. Visitors to the area had the opportunity to experience the World Cup atmosphere combined with a massive record attempt.
It wasn't just for the record.
The giant ball was also utilized to foster a sense of community around the World Cup. The event included plans to donate footballs to the youth and local communities.
Once the exhibition process concludes, there is an aim to repurpose and recycle the colossal ball as much as possible. Thus, the project emerged not only as an extraordinary event that amplified the excitement of the World Cup but also made its mark in the record books.
