The Fifth And Final Season Of ‘Queen of the South’ Drops Netflix In April 2022
‘Queen Of The South’ is a 2016 American Crime Drama series about the drug empire setup by Teresa Mendoza. It was created by MA Fortin and JJ Miller. It is only available to US residents and only on USA Network.
The series is based on the novel La Reina del Sur by Arturo Pérez-novel Reverte. The series has also been renewed four times by officials. The fifth season was renewed on August 29, 2019, but production was postponed because of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Production of ‘Queen Of The South’ ceased in March 2020 but resumed in the fall. However, it was confirmed that the fifth season would debut on April 7, 2022, and that it would be the show’s final season.

‘Queen of the South’ Plot Summary
Teresa establishes her Empire in New York City and travels to Europe in this season. Teresa's dream of becoming 'too big to fail' and legitimate is thwarted by an old foe from the CIA, who has had other intentions for Teresa for a long time.
Teresa loses more members of her extended family in this season, but she also finds love. She refuses to be used as a pawn by the CIA and devises a plot to fake her death and end her life as a narco.
