The Elder Scrolls Online is now free-to-play for a limited time only. The free trial period is available from April 14 to April 26 only.

Players from all over the world will be able to freely roam the vast provinces of Tamriel for a limited time now that The Elder Scrolls Online is free to play. Players will also have unrestricted access to all game content, including the Morrowind DLC.

In addition to this, both The Elder Scrolls Online - Standard Edition and The Elder Scrolls Online - Blackwood are on sale until April 27 if players decide to purchase the game after taking advantage of the limited free trial.

“If you haven’t tried ESO, our Free Play Event is live until April 26. Continue your adventures after the Free Play Event by pre-purchasing the High Isle Collection and gain immediate access to the base game, all previous Chapters, and High Isle in June.”

Bethesda decided to offer discounts and a free trial of ESO since an upcoming expansion will be released soon. The High Isles DLC will be the game's latest expansion, scheduled for release on June 5 this year.

Players could try out The Elder Scrolls Online on the following platforms until April 26: Steam (PC), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Stadia. Unfortunately, Xbox Live Gold will be required for Xbox players to play the game. Furthermore, the Stadia version of The Elder Scrolls Online will only be available in a few select regions around the world.
