Tarkan Shares Cryptic “Clown” Message After Emre Kaya Drama!
Tarkan has recently become one of the most talked-about figures. The controversy that started with Emre Kaya's claim that 'Tarkan is not a composer' has spread like wildfire on social media. The veiled 'clown' remark from the Megastar has caused quite a stir. Tarkan, who defended himself with a comment on a post, subsequently made headlines with a suggestive quote he shared.
Tarkan, a living legend of Turkish pop music, has been making waves not only with his songs for years; but also with his influence in the music industry, his charisma on stage, and his knack for producing one hit after another.
The Megastar, who has reshaped the direction of pop music with timeless pieces such as 'Kuzu Kuzu', 'Şımarık', 'Dudu', 'Ölürüm Sana', 'Aşk', 'Unutmamalı', and 'Yakar Geçerim', has once again become the talk of the town, not with a new song, but with a subtle jab he made on social media.
The spark that ignited the incident was lit by singer Emre Kaya. Kaya's recent comment about Tarkan, stating he is 'not a composer', caused a major stir on social media. Particularly considering the compositions Tarkan has provided over the years, both for his own repertoire and for major figures like Ajda Pekkan, Bülent Ersoy, and Sibel Can, this claim was deemed 'overly ambitious' by many. As social media quickly divided into two camps, content creator Faruk Teymur also joined the debate.
In a video he posted, Faruk Teymur essentially recited Tarkan's discography by heart and launched a scathing attack on Emre Kaya. He drew attention to Tarkan's long-standing influence on pop music, asking questions like 'Who made 'Kuzu Kuzu'?', 'Do you know what kind of composition 'Ay' is?', and stating '‘Yakar Geçerim’ set 2011 on fire'.
Despite being at the center of the debate, Tarkan did not make a direct statement. The Megastar, instead, left a comment on Faruk Teymur's post defending him, saying 'Those who know me, know me well, and I know myself well too. I never engage in unnecessary efforts to defend myself, but your post melted my heart.'
However, the real drama unfolded thereafter. Tarkan made a rather suggestive remark in his latest post on social media.
'Don't keep blaming a clown for clowning around. Ask yourself, 'Why do you keep going to the circus?''
This post by the Megastar caught the attention of social media users. While the majority of users believed that the post was a direct jab at Emre Kaya, some suggested that Tarkan delivered his message quite clearly without mentioning any names.
