Rihanna is set to make her return to music this week after taking a 6 year break from her career.

The 34 year old singer teased a song from the upcoming 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,' soundtrack on Twitter this week.

Rihanna teased the song title and audio from the upcoming track in a Tweet on the social media platform with a pre-save link for users of the Apple Music and Spotify streaming platforms.

The song from the upcoming movie is due to be released this Friday, the 28th of Ocotber.

The song is titled 'Lift Me Up,' and according to a recent press release, is intended to pay tribute to the life and legacy of late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman.

The song is reported to have been co-written by Rihanna, Tems, Oscar winning composer Ludwig Goransson and Ryan Coogler.

“After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life,” the nigerian singer Tems said in a press release.

“I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them. Rihanna has been an inspiration to me so hearing her convey this song is a great honor,” he explained.

On Tuesday, Marvel posted a 15 second short clip of 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.'

The clip features the title of the movie on an all black background but transforms at the 6-second mark.

As the screen darkens, the first 'R' in 'Forever' moves to the middle of the video with the date Oct. 28 2022, appearing below.

Excited fans have taken the big 'R: to mean that Rihanna will be making her musical comeback on that date.

Could Rihanna bring new music to the 'Wakanda Forever' soundtrack?

Rihanna commented under the post with a crossed-arms emoji, likened to the Wakanda Forever gesture, and a red love heart, further fueling anticipation for Friday.

Recently, the famous singer was confirmed as the halftime show act for the 2023 NFL Superbowl.

Following that news, she told TMZ that 'I'm nervous, but I'm excited.'

It is not yet known if RihRih will decide to act solo at the superbowl or bring along some star names for her performance.

The Barbados-born star has also recently become a parent alongside her boyfriend ASAP Rocky after she gave birth to a daughter.
