One Piece: Strong World - Official Trailer

‘Straw Hat Pirates must save their navigator and stop the legendary Pirate, Shiki the Golden Lion from conquering East Blue.’

Munehisa Sakai directed the 2009 Japanese animated fantasy action adventure film ‘One Piece Film: Strong World.’ It is the eighth feature film based on Eiichiro Oda's shonen manga series One Piece.

Shiki, the villainous commander of his crew who kidnaps Nami to force her to join his crew and plans to conquer the East Blue, is played by Naoto Takenaka (in Japanese) and Scott McNeil (in English). Shiki's schemes must be thwarted by Monkey D. Luffy and his gang.

The film was supposed to be released in the spring of 2009, however delays in the writing caused the release date to be pushed back. On December 12, 2009, the film was finally released. Funimation announced on July 28, 2013, that they had obtained the rights for One Piece Film: Strong World, and it was released on November 19, 2013.

The 2019 most favorite manga series turned film ‘One Piece Film: Strong World’ is set to release on Netflix and you may start to binge-watch it on March 15, 2022.

Along their journey, the Straw Hat Pirates receive some bad news. With their hometowns in peril, Luffy and his companions decide to put their adventures on hold and return to East Blue, when out of nowhere, a mysterious flying pirate ship appears. 

Golden Lion Shiki, the fabled Devil Fruit user who managed to escape the enormous undersea jail Impel Down and stood among such notable pirates as the 'Pirate King' Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard, is the man in charge of that ship. 

Shiki sends Luffy and his crew hurdling down to his own personal floating islands after abducting Nami for her natural navigating skills. Separated, the group is thrust into a battle for survival against fearsome monsters in enigmatic settings.
