New Playstation Plus Subscription has 3 Tiers
Playstation has officially announced the next generation of Playstation Plus in June and it can be quite confusing for new subscribers as it combines the perks and benefits of PS Plus and PlayStation Now. It is divided into three new tiers, PlayStation Plus, PlayStation Plus Extra, and PlayStation Plus Premium, where the highest level will give us the same features as the Xbox Game Pass.
Playstation Plus Essential
As the name suggests, Playstation Plus Essential will offer you the basic commodities, the same as before. It will still cost $60 and will offer free games each month, cloud storage, online multiplayer, and discounts during selected sales.
Playstation Plus Extra
This tier will offer and cost a bit more. It stands at $15 per month or if you want to save more you can get $100 per year promo. It features 400 titles for the PS4 and PS5 and to keep the description short, players will be able to download the games into their console to play them. Seems pretty familiar, right? Well it’s basically like PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now combined and these will be discontinued in June
PlayStation Plus Premium
This is the highest level or tier in the new generation of Playstation Plus and will cost $18 per month or $120 per year. It offers over 700 games including classics from the original Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, and PSP. Backward compatible Playstation games will be downloadable as well.
Sony also confirmed that Playstation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will have access to the following games at launch:
Death Stranding
God of War
Marvel's Spider-Man
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales
Mortal Kombat 11
Returnal (PS5 exclusive)
