Netflix Asia Reveals Official Trailer for ‘The Way of the Househusband’ Season Two Revealing January 2023 Release

Netflix has been working on ensuring its fans don’t miss something to start the year with. The streamer has a package of new-year releases, including Kaleidoscope, Lady Voyeur, Old Enough, and our business of the day, The Way of the Househusband season two. 

The animated series is an adaptation of Kousuke Oono’s five-part limited series of the same title. It is a 2021 Netflix Original action-comedy directed by Chiaki Kon. 

The Way of the Househusband landed on Netflix with incredible ten episodes for the first season, which garnered 7.3/10 and 4/5 stars on IMDb and Common Sense Media (kids’ rating for the show). 

The streamer announced the premiere date for The Way of the Househusband season two, January 1, 2023, during its Tudum Japan occasion in September 2022.

The Way of the Househusband generally follows a former criminal and violent gangster, Tatsu, who gives up on his evil ways and becomes a househusband. Tatsu does all the house chores as required, from laundry to cleaning and cooking, and everything else you can imagine a housewife does while his wife concentrates on her profession. 

As impossible as it may sound, how Tatsu does the chores makes everything about The Way of the Househusband super interesting. The Way of the Househusband focuses on basic family life in the most rib-cracking way possible. 

Season one introduced Tatsu as a freshly retired gangster, still striving to learn a few house matters, including cooking. The upcoming season is set to proceed from where its pacesetter left off but with more captivating scenes, given that Tatsu has become a pro in nearly all areas.

Netflix Asia shared the official trailer for The Way of the Husband season two, and it’s pretty promising that the installment will be exciting. 

In 1 minute and 34 seconds, the trailer welcomes Tatsu, more domestic than ever and with more adventures.

The show is written by Susumu Yamakawa, alongside Kon as the director. Gin will resume his music role with J.C Staff on the production desk.

The Way of the Househusband season one’s cast will return in Japanese and English versions of the show, respectively. 

They include Kenjiro Tsuda, Jonah Scott (Tatsu), Shizuka Itō, Laura Post (Miko), Kazuyuki Okitsu, Andres P. Ramacho (Masa), Yoshimasa Hosaya, Ben Pronsky (Torajiro), Atsuko Tanaka and Melissa Greenspan (Hibari Torii).
