The film is a love story that captures the transience and beauty of cherry blossoms, based on a bestselling novel of the same name by Shueisha's Keisuke Uyama, and produced by Kei Haruna, who is known for top romance films such as Crying Out Love in the Center of the World and Be With You, as well as My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday, and Let Me Eat Your Pancreas.
Haruto, a wannabe photographer, is head over heels in love with Misaki, his hairstylist. When he eventually summons the nerve to ask Misaki out, the young couple appears to be living happily ever after... Until Misaki contracts a rare condition that causes her to age swiftly in front of their eyes.
