Juventus Star Kenan Yildiz Opens up on Choosing Turkiye Over Germany
Kenan Yıldız, a key striker for the A National Football Team aiming to participate in the 2026 World Cup and currently playing for Juventus, has spoken to the Italian press. Yıldız made exclusive statements to Corriere dello Sport, explaining why he chose to represent Turkey over Germany.
In addition to discussing his career at Juventus and comparisons to Del Piero, he responded to the question about his national team preference as follows.

Because in Germany, I was overlooked, deemed not good enough, always passed over for someone else. I wasn't the only one aware of my talents. I was chosen as the MVP in all the tournaments I participated in as a child. At the tender age of eight, I was playing against those who were 18.
He responded to the question of how he was received in Turkey by criticizing the sports press.

'The press seems to be in my favor these days. In our world, everything hinges on the results. I encountered some issues during the European Championship due to a particular incident. I was caught on camera for a brief two seconds while I was adjusting my hair, when in reality, I was trying to shoo away an insect. They claimed that I was more concerned with my appearance than playing the game. But that issue was laid to rest right there.'
