‘John Wick 4’ Has Release Date Set for 2023

John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently in post-production, meaning a release date is on the horizon! The rollout of this new movie is slated for wide theatrical release on March 24, 2023, after a nearly two-year delay.

When a retired assassin's quiet life is interrupted by a shocking random act of violence, he brings himself out of hiding to take revenge, creating a domino effect of reconnection to former acquaintances, villains, and other unique characters of the elite assassin world - proving that getting out twice might be impossible even for the legendary John Wick.

Director Chad Stahelski returns as director for every John Wick movie, though he will not be directing the spin-off Ballerina, which stars Ana de Armas. Creator and sole screenwriter of the first two installments, Derek Kolstad, is not returning for the first time in any capacity here. Instead, Lionsgate brought back Chapter 3 co-writer Shay Hatten and an unknown writer Michael Finch to write the story and script.

John Wick: Chapter 4's story is currently being kept under wraps, but it is billed as a direct sequel to John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. At this point, John Wick has officially been cut from all major ties in his profession, including the High Table, which sought Wick's death in Chapter 3, and the Continental Hotel run by Winston. But the surprising change is that now the ire of the Bowery King has officially been sparked, so a team-up going directly against the High Table is sure to come in Chapter 4.
