To prevent the spread of individuals' private images, Instagram has developed a feature that will prohibit users from taking screenshots or screen recordings of temporary photos and videos sent via direct messages.
According to the announcement made by the company, this feature is intended to safeguard private images shared through messages.
Additionally, Instagram's measures don’t stop there.
The 'nudity protection support,' which began testing earlier this year, will now be expanded to cover all young users. This aims to prevent malicious individuals and groups from exploiting a person's sexual content for coercion.
Moreover, Instagram will allow users to hide their followers and the people they follow.
This new feature, developed in collaboration with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the child safety organization Thorn, is designed to prevent accounts involved in sexual blackmail and suspicious activities from viewing the follower lists of other users.
