Tarkan, a pop sensation whose concerts become a sensation days in advance and whose tickets sell out within minutes, has once again topped the headlines, this time with a free public concert in Ankara. The announcement of this massive event, part of the Koç Group's 100th anniversary celebrations, had thousands flocking to their computers and phones. However, the concert excitement quickly evolved into a digital race.
Tickets for the concert, set to take place at Ankara's Başkent Millet Garden on June 5, 2026, became available on Biletix at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 2. Due to the event being free of charge, it saw a high demand and instead of being directed to the sales screen, users were taken to a digital waiting room.
Screen captures that started to be shared on social media in a short span of time grabbed attention.
While some users reported receiving queue numbers exceeding 50,000, it was observed that many individuals had numbers surpassing the 100,000 mark. The issue became a hot topic on social media when some users even shared that they were faced with queue numbers over 200,000.
On the other hand, those who managed to reach the ticket purchase screen were given a mere 10 minutes to complete their transactions. The rule that allowed a maximum of two tickets per person was implemented to reach a broader audience. Despite this, the interest in the concert was so immense that, due to limited capacity, a large number of people were unable to secure tickets even after hours of waiting.
