‘Halo Infinite’ Season 2’s 6-Month Extension Frustrates Fans

Halo Infinite players have expressed their dismay and frustration on Halo Infinite Season 2’s six-month extension and over game developer’s slow updates and communications.

Microsoft-owned, Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries recently announced that Season 3 will be released on the 7th of November. According to reports, game developers are prioritizing the team’s health and sustainable development.

Joseph Staten, Creative Head of 343 Industries, stated that the studio needs more time to assemble their plans.

'We know we need to deliver more content and more features more quickly,' 343 announced.  'Staying true to [a] priority zero [of team health] means that sometimes we need to slow down in order to stay healthy and move faster later. But we’re also aggressively looking at ways to accelerate.'

This caused fan discussions on Reddit where the majority expressed their dismay and frustration over the little to know updates on the next season and extended duration of the second season.

'And with that, we see season 2 is also 6 months again. Two maps for an entire year,' stated one Reddit user.

Some users also included that updates on the game over rampant cheating and game-breaking issues since Season 1 are still present and these added to the initial uproar.

Halo Infinite is available on Xbox consoles and Windows PCs, with a free-to-play multiplayer experience with a plus a paid $60 campaign that includes Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
