Golden Boy 2025: Désiré Doué Wins, but Arda Güler and Kenan Yıldız Shine in Top 5
Tuttosport, one of Italy's prominent sports newspapers, has been awarding the 'Golden Boy' since 2003, making it one of the most prestigious accolades in Europe. The recipient of the 2025 award, which is voted on by young players, was announced at a ceremony held in Turin on the evening of December 1, 2025. This year, the honor of being the best footballer under 21 playing in Europe was bestowed upon Desire Doue, the French star of PSG. Among the top five were our national footballers, Arda Güler and Kenan Yıldız. Arda Güler, who dons the Real Madrid jersey, secured the second spot with 163 points, while Kenan Yıldız, the number ten of Juventus, found his place at the fifth spot with 148 points.
Arda Güler came in second, while Kenan Yıldız secured the fifth place.
Doue, who amassed a total of 450 points in the voting process conducted by a jury of 40 international journalists, clinched the top spot, closely followed by Arda Güler from Real Madrid who has seen increased playtime this season. Kenan Yıldız, who has been on the radar of La Liga and Premier League teams due to his outstanding performance at Juventus, secured the fifth position.
The French footballer, who boasts a market value of 90 million euros, played a pivotal role in Paris Saint-Germain's victories in both the league and the Champions League last season.
The top five are as follows;
1) Desire Doue with 450 points
2) Arda Güler, scoring 163 points
3) Pau Cubarsi, tallying up 161 points
4) Dean Huijsen, accumulating 160 points
5) Kenan Yıldız, rounding out the top five with 148 points.
