Find Out Which Amazon Prime Video is Taking the Internet By Storm

Can you guess the show? It is unexpected, so it’s definitely not the new Lord of the Rings series, which has been much hyped these couple of weeks. It's animated, fun and raunchy, The Legend of Vox Machina. This adult animated fantasy series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, January 28, with three new episodes coming out every Friday until February 18.

In weeks, The Legend of Vox Machina already has a perfect 100% score on the Rotten Tomatoes website, with a rating of 8.6/10 on IMDb. According to critics’ consensus, the show is, “Fluidly animated and intelligently scripted. It is an addictive treat for fans of Dungeons & Dragons-style RPGs.”

Even if you were unaware of the show’s fuss until now, there are numerous who have tracked the show’s unexpected story that helped propel it to immediate stardom.

The Legend of Vox Machina initially began as a long-running Dungeons and Dragons game known as Critical Role, which is presumably one of the biggest hits in the web series, get it now! Critical Role became big enough to spin off a high-end animation. It also grossed the bucks to make it happen. 

The partnership between Amazon Studios, Critical Role Productions and Titmouse Inc started the production of The Legend of Vox Machina in late 2019. In November of the same year, Amazon obtained exclusive streaming rights to the show, and expanded its production from one season with 10 episodes to two seasons of 12 episodes each. Season 2 of the series is currently in the works.

You don’t have to be familiar with Critical Role to enjoy this new fantasy series, as its characters and story are entirely welcoming. The Legend of Vox Machina invites new fans on board with plenty of giggles and emotional moments and some airy songs as well. 

So, don’t be afraid to binge away this weekend. Except, don't watch with your young kids. It might be an animated series, but packed with extreme content involving sex, gore and violence.
