Fallout 76 Surpasses Record Player Count Years After Release
Since the success of the Fallout series, the game franchise continues to rise, with Fallout 76's player count reaching record numbers despite initial criticisms during its launch period.
Amazon's Fallout series not only breathes new life into the iconic game franchise but also changes our perception of game adaptations.
Following the success of the beloved game series, the Fallout series adaptation, 'Power Rings,' rose to become Amazon's second most-watched series, lifting the game series along with it. Years after their release, Fallout games have broken their own concurrent player records following the series' success.
Released in 2018, Fallout 76 has surpassed 20 million players after 6 years since its launch.
The news was shared with players through a post on Fallout's official Twitter account, accompanied by a thank you message. While Fallout 76's multiplayer gameplay didn't initially impress veteran fans of the series, it didn't receive favorable reviews upon its release.
While the Fallout series quickly secured approval for a second season, the same cannot be said for Fallout games.
Despite the global success of the series, there is currently no news of a new Fallout game from Bethesda. With Fallout 76 as the latest game in the series, Bethesda is currently focusing on DLCs for The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield.
