Where is Tazi Canyon?

Current Information About the Business

With the bid held in 2024, the operation of the ‘day-use area’ of Tazi Canyon was organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry DKMP 6th Regional Directorate. Manavgat Municipality won the bid, and the operation of the canyon was transferred to the municipality. With this development, it should be noted that the area has been reorganised and protected, visitor management has been implemented, and entrance fees have been introduced.
Tazi Canyon Entrance Fee (2025)

The viewing point, which was free until 2024, became subject to a fee in mid-2024 when it was taken over by the municipality. According to the latest information shared on the site, the entrance fee per person is 60 TL as of 2025. However, as these fees may change periodically, we recommend that you check the official announcements of the Manavgat Municipality before setting out.
In addition, Koprulu Canyon National Park may charge an additional fee for vehicle entry from time to time. Although some sources indicate that the car entry fee for 2025 is 135 TL, you should check the official current tariff for accurate information.

Best Time to Visit Tazi Canyon

Tazi Canyon can be visited at any time of day, but the most spectacular moments are at sunrise and sunset. The light at these times of day adds a dramatic effect to the landscape. Midday can be more challenging in terms of both temperature and photography. For safety reasons, avoid being near the edge of the cliff in the dark.
Safety Precautions for Tazi Canyon

The most famous spot in the canyon is the photo ledge at the edge of the cliff. There are no railings or safety barriers here, so caution is essential. On windy days, you may lose your balance, and the rocky surface can be slippery. Those with children need to take extra precautions and avoid risky behaviour at the edges.
Drone Usage in Tazi Canyon

In Turkey, drones weighing 500 grams or more must be registered with the SHGM UAV Registration System and obtain a flight permit. Permits are even stricter in protected areas such as national parks. Even devices weighing less than 500 grams must comply with the rules in prohibited areas. It is recommended that you do not fly your drone without first checking the SHGM's current airspace map and permit conditions.
Wide-angle lenses (e.g., 14–24 mm) are ideal for capturing the grandeur of the landscape. Morning mists and sunset lights offer the most impressive shots.
