Everything to Know About Peacock’s Betrayal-Mystery Reality TV Series ‘The Traitors’ Hosted by Alan Cumming

Tony and Olivier Award winner Alan Cumming graces Peacock's new reality TV series The Traitors, which debuted on Thursday, January 12.

Derived from the Dutch version, De Verraders, The Traitors, set in a mysterious Scottish castle, sees 20 prominent figures team up or turn against each other through a series of heart-throbbing challenges to win a grand prize of $250,000.

Three competitors are anonymous traitors, who concoct a plan to steal the prize from the rest, known as the faithful. Every episode sees the players given the chance to eliminate one of them from the game. 

But the traitors mustn’t reveal their identity as the remaining players attempt to ‘murder’ whoever they suspect is the renegade.

The Traitors introduces bigwigs and reality celebrities as the players. Here are their names:

The Traitors is executive produced by Mike Cotton, Jack Burgess, Toni Ireland, Stephen Lambert, Tim Harcourt and Sam Rees Jones for Studio Lambert Scotland. 

Alan Cumming shared his excitement for hosting the show on Parade, saying, 'I'm happy that people will be able to see it. And to understand why I've been rabbiting on about for the last eight months.'

The veteran star has made his mark on stage, film and the small screen, enjoying a successful career for almost four decades.
