The holiday has begun, and Netflix has a lot in store for its wide base of viewers. Burning Patience joins other Netflix December movies like Troll, Qala, The Masked Scammer, Warriors of Future, and The Elephant Whisperers, among others. 

The movie is an adaptation of Antonio Skármeta’s play of the same title, published in 1982.

What’s ‘Burning Patience’ About?

Burning Patience combines drama and poetry to tell the story of Mario, a young man working as a carrier at Pablo Neruda’s mail while practising fishing. When Pablo Neruda suffers an exile from Chile, Mario is forced to dig deeper into his poetic desires. 

His new job was aspired by his long-lived desire to attract the woman of his dreams while satisfying his talent. The movie creates constant poetic attention for its viewers but with a lighter tone and different locations.

What’s in the Trailer for ‘Burning Patience’?

The trailer for Burning Patience offers a visual description of the show as Mario fictionalizes his love life with the woman of his dream. It proceeds to showcase Mario as Pablo Neruda’s mail carrier and fisherman before his boss suffers exile from Chile. 

Mario’s writing spirit grows even larger with efforts to win the heart of Beatriz.

Who Creates ‘Burning Patience’?

Rodrigo Sepúlveda direct Burning Patience, with Guillermo Calderón and Antonio Skármeta as writers, alongside chief producers Pablo Larraín, Juan de Dios Larraín, Rocío Jadue, Cristian Donoso, and Alejandro Wise (line producer). 

Burning Patience is shot exclusively in Santiago, Chile, and its surroundings.

Who Plays Who in ‘Burning Patience’?

The new Netflix movie boasts several actors on the main cast list, including Andrew Bargsted portraying Mario, Vivianne Dietz playing Beatriz, Pablo Macaya depicting Jorge, Claudio Arredondo impersonating Pablo Neruda, and Pablo Giannini representing Elba. 

Other characters include Martín  Zelada (Niño), Sergio Campos (Locutor), Bárbara Wilson (Martuca), Katy Cabezas (Elena), Rodolfo Pulgar (Cosme), and Trinidad González (Elvira). Ramón Gonzaléz and Edinson Díaz also appear in the movie as Pintor and Dueño, respectively.

When Will 'Burning Patience' Debut?

Burning Patience will officially launch on Wednesday, December 7th 2022, on Netflix, running for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
